Siemens Home Appliances is a division of Siemens AG, a German multinational company. Siemens Home Appliances produces consumer products, including laundry appliances like washing machines. These washing machines are built to last, but you may still experience minor issues with them. Eliminate service fees, and repair minor problems with your...

Vibrations/Not Turning On

Mute the speaker Listen to this using a male or female voice M/F If you hear a lot of vibrations, then your Siemens washing machine is not level. Verify that you have properly installed the four leveling feet, and check the floor beneath your washing machine. If the floor is not level or stable, repair the flooring before reinstalling the washing machine. You can also use shims to rise up the lower of the washing machine. If your washing machine won't turn on, plug it directly into the wall and not into an extension cord or adapter. Check your fuses, and replace if black or have broken wires. Reset the circuit breaker if tripped. Examine the lid switch, which is near the door frame. Replace if corroded or burnt out.

Water Connection

Verify that you have properly connected the hot and cold water faucets, and switch them around if you have the connections reversed. Un-kink the water inlet hose if your tub is not filling, and replace the hose if crushed or split. If your tub isn't drainage, check the drainage hose, and remove any clogs. Check the rubber hose in the main access panel for caught clothing or debris, and remove with needle nose pliers. If you have nothing caught in the hose, open up the housing, and examine the pump. If any components are broken on the pump, replace the pump.

Leaks

Examine the water valve, and see if the leak is coming from this component. Replace the water valve if defective. Do not overload the washing machine as this causes water to bounce off of the load. Verify that the washer lid is completely closed. Check all of your housing, and look for rust spots or cracks. If the housing is corrupted, you are looking at a costly expense. Replace the washing machine.

Wet Clothing

Your washing machine normally pauses between cycles. Close the lid, and allow the washer to finish its cycle. Check the drainage hose for clogs. If water is returning to the tub, measure the amount of drainage tube in the tub. If it's more than 4 inches, remove the excess. If the tub is not spinning, replace the motor coupler.
